Dear Friends and Partners of HCAW,

Well, spring is almost here and we have much to report about the many blossoms that are starting to emerge within the churches we serve, including empirical evidence that the Church-based HCAW WorkLife Ministry process positively affects believers vocationally and spiritually.

By way of reminder, our mission at His Church at Work is to empower churches to build a sustainable plan & infrastructure in which WorkLife discipleship and outreach can grow and thrive. At the core, HCAW is a movement of like-minded churches committed to an Ephesians 4:12 discipleship process - equipping their members to walk well with God at work and effectively expand Kingdom influence to their coworkers and place of work assignment. We are excited to report many significant developments in our progress of church-based WorkLife Ministry around the country. We have detailed a few below for your review.

CHURCH-BASED WORKLIFE MINISTRY RESEARCH FINDINGS
Dr. Mark Walker is the senior pastor at Mt. Paran North Church of God in Marietta, GA, a member of the HCAW’s Advisory Board and a leader in church-based WorkLife Ministry. His Church at Work and Dr. Walker just finished a partnership in a doctoral study at Regent University and the results are awesome. For the first time ever, we have empirical evidence on the impact of the HCAW church-based WorkLife Ministry process in areas such as job satisfaction, organizational commitment and equipping satisfaction. In this 258-page dissertation, churches that have practiced HCAW WorkLife Ministry Principles, Training, and Processes over time were studied and surveyed. This group was compared to a test group of similar churches that have NOT intentionally addressed members' work lives in this way. And here are just a few highlights from the research. More will come in future updates.

Members of Churches with our WorkLife Ministry process had a/an:

Ø 58% increase in overall satisfaction with their church

Ø Increase in Job Satisfaction and Commitment to their Employers

Ø 168% increase in satisfaction with their church equipping

THE SPIRIT MOVES AT HOSANNA!
We thought you would enjoy hearing directly from Senior Pastor Bill Bohline of Hosanna Lutheran Church about how God is moving in their congregation through their WorkLife Ministry. We trained and empowered this church for Worklife ministry just a few months ago.

“I have only a few times in my life experienced anything as powerful and as God filled as our church WorkLife Ministry Launch is turning out to be. It is great to partner with the His Church at Work team to build this transformational ministry.

As just one example of God’s favor, at the conclusion of our initial ministry launch series on the 9-5 Window, we invited all who desired to come forward for a time of blessing and commissioning. They came forward by the hundreds, many with tears in their eyes. They were instructed to say 'my name is Nancy and I'm a nurse'. One of our prayer partners would then anoint them and say: 'Nancy, I anoint you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit as a nurse in the Kingdom of God. Go in peace and let your light shine.' It was powerful.

I believe God desires that His church rise-up and use the good gifts it has been given to impact the culture for the Kingdom, and to prevail against the gates of Hell. His Church at Work will be used to help our church reclaim the land for the Lord Jesus Christ who came to restore all things.”

NEW MULTI-CAMPUS CHURCH JOINS GOD IN THE WORKPLACE
North Heights Lutheran Church, a multi-campus congregation of 5000+ in weekend attendance has just entered the HCAW Implementation and Training process. This church is a healthy training church in the Twin Cities area. They will be officially releasing their WorkLife ministry in June of this year. NHLC is another blessing on the way to the goal of influencing 500,000 unchurched in the workplace through members of Twin City Churches. We have similar developments in cities across the nation.

MICHIGAN CHURCH LAUNCHES SUCCESFUL WORK-LIFE MINISTRY
Oak Pointe Church has been a body of people growing: Reaching In, Reaching Up, and Reaching Out. As OPC began its 9th year as a "spirit led movement of God", they turned their attention to the massive influence of their congregation in the workplace and then acted. They just finished the rollout to their entire congregation. Congratulations Oak Pointe! You are on the front edge of where God is moving at this time in history.
